1. What do I need to get my presence on the web?
You need a professionally developed website, a domain name, and a hosting
package for your site.

3. What is a hosting package?
A Hosting package provides you with server space so that you can
publish your website and make it available to the world. It is where all
files required to keep your site running are stored. It provides you with a
certain amount of disk space, which determines how big your site can be, and
bandwith transfer, which determines how many people can view your site. Our
hosting package is one of the biggest to be found, actually providing every
client with enough space and bandwith to host 100 or more separate websites
4. What do I put on my Website?
This depends on the goal of your website. If you run a business
website you would put information about the products and services you
provide.
5. Other than decide upon what I want on my site, and provide
graphics and text etc, what else must I do?
Nothing. We do everything for you, starting with obtaining and
registering your domain name, not ending until everything in between is
done, so that you're site is exactly what you want, and launched on the web.
6. Do we have to have a meeting in connection with the website
design?
Usually you would meet in person once with the web designer, however it is
not absolutely necessary. Many websites are completed with contact via
email, and/or telephone. Throughout the design process, I will email you a
private link, so that you can watch your site design as it progresses, and
contact with changes or suggestions as necessary.
7. Do I have to have a local Website designer?
We can create websites for clients anywhere. By using email and
the internet, it is possible to communicate, and for the client
to review everything along the way, so that the end result is
exactly what is wanted. A review of our portfolio shows websites
we have designed for clients in many parts of Newfoundland, as
well as Nova Scotia, North Carolina USA, New York USA, Alberta,
Greece, Brazil etc.
8. How long does it take for a site to be designed and completed?
Normally this is dictated by the client. It depends upon the size and
complexity of the site. When designing a site, an anticipated launch date is
noted, and we strive to meet that deadline. Generally most sites can be
finalized in 3-4 weeks.
9. Will my Website be available on Search Engines?
Your website will include keywords and meta tags with search
terms relative to your specific website. Your site with a
related site-map will be submitted to all major search engines.
10. How do I update my website once it is live on the
world wide web?
There are various options available for updating websites.
Your website can be designed so that it includes a custom
designed content management system will allows you to update and
expand your website on your own. We also provide website
maintenance packages whereby we do necessary changes and updates
for you. The choice is yours.
11. Once the website is designed, does Zircon Web Design
offer hosting services?
Yes. We offer hosting services for all clients. As a
Thank You for doing business with us, your first year hosting is
provided FREE of charge. As part of the hosting services,
you also receive unlimited email addresses, and your website is
backed up on a separate server on a weekly basis.
12. Are there hidden costs associated with Web Design
Services?
There are no hidden costs with your website design.
We will discuss your requirements and give you a written quote,
detailing everything that is included and the final cost.
13. What are the payment terms for having a website
designed?
Zircon requires a deposit to begin your website design.
The deposit ranges between 25 and 50% of the total website cost.
No further payment is required until the website is complete and
you are fully satisfied.
